Maternal Mental Health Service
The Maternal Mental Health Service (MMHS) is here to help you with problems in relation to a traumatic experience, loss or fear, during your pregnancy or birth.
Birth Reflection Service
If your child birth didn’t go as you had hoped or expected. It is understandable that you may wish to talk about your experience or that you may have some questions about your labour. If you had your baby with South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Trust, they would like to offer you the opportunity to discuss your birth experience with a midwife.

Headlight provides information around mental health issues, volunteer opportunities, and signposting. They run various courses and recreational activities.
Learning Disability Community Treatment Team
The Learning Disabilities Community Treatment Team provides a range of specialist therapeutic interventions to people with a learning disability and support to mainstream health services to ensure they are accessible to people with a learning disability.
