Veterans in Crisis Sunderland
Welcome to Veterans in Crisis Sunderland – VICS. If you are a veteran and you’re registered with a Sunderland GP and need help (or you know of someone that is), we will be very pleased to hear from you. Our mission is to do everything we can to get veterans in crisis back on their feet, however long it takes. Sunderland Carers Centre
At Sunderland Carers Centre we provide support for people who look after others. We offer information, advice and guidance to carers in and around Sunderland – and it’s all confidential, non-judgemental and impartial. The Carers Centre is a “centrepoint” for carers in the city, assisting directly when and where we can and linking people with other organisations when more appropriate, to ensure every user gets the support they require.

NECA is a registered Charity whose key focus is to improve the lives of individuals and communities throughout the region. For over 40 years NECA have supported and enabled thousands of individuals to sustain long term Recovery from substances and Gambling misuse.

NEAS (North East Ambulance Service)
The North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) provides pre-planned non-emergency transport for patients who have a medical condition that would prevent them from travelling to a treatment centre by any other means, or who require the skills of an ambulance care assistant during the journey. The Patient Transport Service conveys a wide range of patients to and from their homes to out-patients' appointments, clinics, physiotherapy or non-urgent inter-hospital transfers. Crews are trained as ambulance care assistants with specialist knowledge of comprehensive first aid, driving skills and patient moving and handling techniques.
