Sunderland Carers Centre
At Sunderland Carers Centre we provide support for people who look after others. We offer information, advice and guidance to carers in and around Sunderland – and it’s all confidential, non-judgemental and impartial. The Carers Centre is a “centrepoint” for carers in the city, assisting directly when and where we can and linking people with other organisations when more appropriate, to ensure every user gets the support they require.

NSPCC Childline
Childline is here to help anyone under 19 in the UK with any issue they’re going through.You can talk about anything. Whether it’s something big or small, our trained counsellors are here to support you.Childline is free, confidential and available any time, day or night.

Lumi Nova: Tales of Courage
Lumi Nova: Tales of Courage is a digital therapeutic mobile game supporting children with fears, worries and anxiety. Designed for children aged 7-12 years, Lumi Nova helps children to reflect on their feelings, build resilience, and learn lifelong skills to self-manage their worries in a fun intergalactic adventure.

Growing Healthy Sunderland
Growing Healthy Sunderland provides an integrated Public Health service for expectant mothers, children and young people and their families in the city. This includes:- Provision of antenatal reviews from 28 weeks of pregnancy- Provision of all mandatory universal reviews- Provision of a 3-4 month review- Audiology screening at commencement of primary education- Ensuring children and vulnerable adults are kept safe- The team delivers high quality, evidence-based interventions which support families and identify and respondappropriately to need across the city of Sunderland.
Children’s Bladder and Bowel Service
South Tyneside and Sunderland"s Children"s Bladder and Bowel Team are here to support children aged 0-19 with any issues relating to their continence.If you concerned that your child has an issue please contact your GP or health professional (school nurse or health visitor) for advice. Health professionals will work with you (a Level 1 assessment requiring the parent/carer to complete a 3 day fluid and 2 week bowel chart) and after 12 week period if there no progress the health professional or parent can self-refer into the children"s bladder and bowel service (Level 2).
