ESPA – Education & Services for people with Autism
“Enabling people across the autism spectrum to enjoy rewarding and fulfilling lives. We respect and embrace each person’s uniqueness and aim to enable everyone to learn to live a more independent and autonomous future of their choice. Our highly trained staff have an outstanding understanding of autism spectrum conditions and associated or additional disabilities or difficulties. These include learning disabilities, behaviours that challenge, ADHD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, mental health issues, epilepsy and a range of other health conditions. ESPA’s services include: Independent Specialist Further Education College, Residential Care, Supported Living, Domiciliary support, Floating support, Transition services, Day opportunities, Supported Internships”
Children’s Bladder and Bowel Service
South Tyneside and Sunderland’s Children’s Bladder and Bowel Team are here to support children aged 0-19 with any issues relating to their continence. If you concerned that your child has an issue please contact your GP or health professional (school nurse or health visitor) for advice. Health professionals will work with you (a Level 1 assessment requiring the parent/carer to complete a 3 day fluid and 2 week bowel chart) and after 12 week period if there no progress the health professional or parent can self-refer into the children’s bladder and bowel service (Level 2).
Children and Young People’s Service – South Tyneside and Sunderland
The Children and Young People’s Service provides a single service to all children and young people aged 0-18 years living in South Tyneside and Sunderland who present with mental health difficulties. This includes children and young people who may have learning difficulties and those living in a range of difficult and challenging circumstances.
