Fire Home Safety Check

Logo of Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service, emphasizing community safety with a badge and the slogan "Creating the Safest Community."

An easy-to-follow home fire safety check has been developed through a partnership between the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC), Fire Kills and Safelincs. It will take you through your home one room at a time and the simple questions will help you spot fire risks as you go around your home.

You can also request a free fire safety check from the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service (TWFRS) directly. They offer free “Safe and Well” visits to assess fire risks in your home and provide advice and potentially install smoke alarms. You can call them on 0191 444 1500 or visit the website by clicking more info below
