Sunderland Cancer Information and Support Service offers support for anyone affected by cancer, this can be the person with a diagnosis, family member, friend, colleague or health professionals.

We support with all things non-clinical an example of what we offer is outlined below:
- We have a range of booklets on; cancer, treatments, side effects of treatment, living with cancer
- We provide emotional support
- Practical support
- Welfare benefits advice; supporting patients with financial support by ensuring they claim all benefits they are entitled to
- Complimentary therapies
- Counselling services
- Legal advice; access to legal support for will writing, employment issues, complex family issues
- Support for children affected by a family members cancer diagnosis or prognosis
- Bandanas for anyone who has hair loss due to cancer treatment
- Look good feel better sessions, group session to advise ladies how to look after their skin during cancer treatment
- Travel insurance advice
